Nature Just IS… - A Wandering Meditation

Nature is a living and breathing habitat of true AUTHENTICITY.
It cannot be anything other than what it IS, nor does it want to be.
The landscapes accept you where you are…BUT they will challenge your inner narratives.
Nature holds you with a presence of KNOWING;
With breezes that blow through your scattered thoughts,
Or the distant call of a hawk who pierces your deafened ears.
The complete stillness of a wondrous and fully alive ecosystem will make your heart and soul sprout new shoots.
Nature asks you the deepest questions and it will carry the answers on butterfly wings.
Stay long enough to let her speak and when she does, you will be so glad you stayed.
When you emerge from the forest floor, the sandy shores, the desert skies, or the mountain lakes,
May your inner TRUTH shine from your luminous eyes.

A WANDERING MEDITATION:

  1. Begin with a few deep breaths, from your tailbone, to the top of your head, and exhale back down again. Repeat as many times as necessary to feel more relaxed and centered. Let it cleanse you.

  2. Next, grab your journal or write this question on your heart: “Where am I not being authentic or true to me?”

  3. Now, take your body to a new place - somewhere you’ve never explored. Carry this question with you and as you WANDER; ponder, consider, and be honest with yourself.

  4. Do not rush this journey. This is not a race or a destination but a look into the hidden spaces. Look around. Sit on a rock or tree stump. Be STILL and LISTEN.

  5. Notice what wanders up the trail to greet you. You might be surprised!

Keep moving. Keep exploring. Keep Loving.

Your Fellow Wild Wanderer,

Lynna
